Job Details:
1. Ensuring Safety and Health Compliance:
a) OSHA 1994 Compliance: SHO’s are responsible for ensuring the organization complies with the OSHA 1994 and related regulations.
b) Safety Policies: Developing, reviewing, and implementing safety and health policies and procedures.
c) Risk Assessment: identifying potential hazards and assessing risks associated with work activities.
d) Safety Inspections: Regularly inspecting workplaces, machinery, equipment, and work processes to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
e) Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and recommending preventative measures.
f) Monitoring and Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing safety and health performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
2. Promoting a Safety Culture:
a) Training and Awareness: Providing safety training and raising awareness among employees about safety procedures and hazards.
b) Emergency Preparedness: Ensuring the organization has adequate emergency procedures and plans in place.
c) Safety Committee: Establishing and coordinating a Safety and Health Committee (SHC) and facilitating communication between management and employees on safety matters.
d) Employee Participation: Encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and health awareness.
3. Reporting and Documentation:
a) Monthly Reports: Submitting monthly reports to the employer detailing actions taken to comply with OSHA, incidents, and recommendations for improvement.
b) Incident Reports: Maintaining records of accidents, near misses, and other incidents, including detailed reports with recommendations.
c) Other Documentation: Maintaining other relevant safety and health documentation as required by OSHA
Job Qualification:
